Canon Camera Connect: Seamless Wireless Connection for Your Photography Needs

The Canon Camera Connect App makes transferring photos from your compatible Canon camera to mobile devices a breeze, offering an easy solution for managing and sharing images. This app also allows you to control the camera remotely or add GPS data to captured images.

Getting Started

1. Download the App: First, install the Camera Connect application on your smartphone Android or iOS.

2. Set Up Your Device: Create a Smartphone Nickname within the app for camera recognition.

3. Connect Camera: Turn on your Canon camera and press the Mobile Device Connect button located on its body.

4. Configure Camera Settings: Input a nickname for your camera, confirm with OK, select icon then Func. Set under the Mobile Device Connection screen.

5. Enable Wi-Fi: On your mobile device, activate Wi-Fi connection and connect to the camera's provided SSID and password displayed on the camera’s connection screen.

Transferring Photos

1. Connect Devices: Ensure both the camera and mobile are connected via Wi-Fi follow Wi-Fi Connect instructions for connection setup.

2. Transfer Images: Open the Camera Connect app, tap , select desired photos from your camera's list, choose images by tapping on them, select them using the circle indicator, then tap Save at the bottom right corner.

Remote Shooting

1. Same Network Requirement: Both devices need to be connected to the same wireless network for remote shooting.

2. Initiate Remote Shoot: Open the Camera Connect app, tap , choose a 2 sec or 10 sec self-timer option, return to live screen and click to snap photos.

Location Tagging

1. Enable GPS Service: Ensure your mobile device's location service is enabled for Camera Connect App.

2. Begin Shooting: Open the Camera Connect app, tap , start shooting with your camera.

3. Transfer Location Data: Reconnect your mobile device to the camera once you've finished taking photos. Tap OK in an on-screen message to transfer GPS data from logged information.
