How To Focus Using High Contrast Subjects

Solution

In certn scenarios, it is challenging to achieve focus using the autofocus function in compact digital cameras when presented with subjects of low contrast due to their uniform color and shape. on focusing by utilizing a subject with high contrast situated in front of hard-to-focus objects.

Please adjust your camera settings before taking photos; set the AF Frame to Center, facilitating easier focus acquisition. Here is how to switch AF Frame to the central point only:

Adjusting Focus Lock Setting AF frame to center

  1. m the camera at the challenging subject and press halfway down on the Shutter Button.

If you cannot attn focus, a yellow alert appears indicating that the camera has detected low contrast.

  1. Position an object with high contrast in front of your subject for better focus.

A name card serves as here.

  1. Move the AF Frame to the high-contrast area the name card, then press halfway down on the Shutter Button.

  2. The camera locks onto the name card, ensuring proper focus.

  3. Remove the name card while keeping the Shutter Button pressed halfway.

  4. Press the button fully to capture the image.

Focus Tips for Your Camera

To use the AF Lock, hold down the Shutter Button, then press the left button on the Directional buttons. The camera locks focus and displays on screen. Release the left button to cancel AF Lock.
